I so wanted to like this, I so wanted to learn this. You call it a beginner's video but yet from the very first steps, I Couldn't change the points on the circle, I couldn't find that menu? I can't even extrude another bone. I had to go to another video to find out that the command was shift space bar extrude. I couldn't get past that point spent hours trying to figure it out very very disappointed! You can sit back and laugh if you like but this is the reason that I'm using Zbrush and other 3D programs without any problems. Blender absolutely sucks with its GUI interface. I've never been able to get past just trying to move around the interface!!!

36:50 what's the reason you do it differently by duplicating to having separated and then overlaping the objects? or just to demonstrate that you could do that? (In Legs you do Extrude then Scale. But here you separated by doing Duplicate, then Extrude, then Scale) Also in which cases is convenient to have it separated?

I love the mindset of using a few select tools very well. I have made some amazing things with a box, occasionally I'll toss in a cylinder when I need a circle ngon. You only need to master a couple of tools and you can do anything. Despite some of the things I've made, I hardly know what most tools actually do, but I know how to do anything with a box 😂

I don't understand why, but my cash is changing size and position of the flag when loaded. I applied original position before baking animation, but it doesn't help.

Thank you so much for supporting me along the way to create my first blender character model, this has really blown me away. I never though this day would come but I'm loving 3D now, these are words from a 2D and Stopmo animator lol. Really feel like I've got a bit of skills now to be more confident navigating blender and taking on 3D in general, thanks again!

Superuseful tutorial, right to the point. I made this cat and made my own model of Garfield to kinda fix what Ive learned. It was chaotic and buggy process but Ive finished it and rendered the image. Thank you!

When you holding down the middle mouse button while you want to move or size something, you can see the y,x and z axies and it will be easier to to. Just a hint.thank you for that viedeo by the way.

THANK YOU this is fantastic!! I've open blender twice but been very overwhelmed by the learning curve from other videos. I need to work with some models with bones and I now feel comfortable being able to jump in and go!! Also I love keyboard shortcuts and this was such a great mix of step by step and quick, and I love that you move through things with no bs. It's also great that you touch upon deeper concepts and I'm definitely watching more!
